Fiscal Sponsorships
At New Performance Traditions, we offer fiscal sponsorships to selected artists and unincorporated organizations whose projects align with our mission. This provides essential support for artists to secure grants and tax-deductible donations that require a fiscal sponsor. In addition to providing the legal framework for receiving grants and donations, we also offer mentoring services to guide your project to success.
We understand a wide range of possible needs in a fiscal sponsorship relationship. While we outline the three typical tiers of support we provide, we are open to adjusting these to the needs of your particular project.
We offer three levels of fiscal sponsorship to suit different needs.
- Standard Package (8% administrative fee)
This package combines essential financial oversight with expanded project support. We receive and distribute funds to your or your project’s bank account, issue donor acknowledgment letters, and ensure compliance with granting requirements. We manage income and expenditures, maintain financial records, and provide guidance on tracking and reporting.
We also review grant narratives and budgets, assist with grant reporting and funding applications, sign venue rental contracts negotiated by sponsored artists, secure or provide required liability insurance, and offer access to affordable studio rentals when available.
Designed for independent artists, this package provides the financial infrastructure and administrative stability needed to move a project from concept through presentation.
- Comprehensive Package (10% administrative fee)
Also known as “Model C+,” this partnership supports projects that produce multiple productions annually or require sustained collaboration.
It includes all Standard Package services plus expanded co-producing support. New Performance Traditions acts as your administrative partner, overseeing payments to artists, technical crews, and other personnel, and managing payroll and related documentation.
The 10% fee covers staff time and administrative oversight. Direct payroll expenses—including Workers’ Compensation, Social Security, and other employer-mandated costs—are billed separately.
