Pandit Partha Bose
Partha Bose’s musical journey began in 1968, when, at the age of six, he started studying sitar with Guru Pandit Monoj Shankar of the Maihar Gharana in Kolkata, India. What began as a hobby soon developed, through intensive training, rigorous practice, and dedication, into a distinguished professional career with worldwide recognition.

Through performances at major music festivals on five continents, lecture-demonstrations and workshops at renowned universities, and teaching students across geographical borders, Partha has become a widely traveled musician with a wealth of experience. His artistry carries forward the celebrated “Maihar Magic” associated with masters such as Ravi Shankar and Nikhil Banerjee.

Partha has received the Nikhil Banerjee Memorial Award and the titles Sangeet Ratna and Vadya Shiromani. He views these honors as “constant reminders to strive harder in search of excellence.”

Sudhakar Vaidyanathan (tabla)

Sudhakar Vaidyanathan began his training in tabla under Shri Satish Tare at the age of 8. He has been continuing his training with Padma Shri Pandit Swapan Chaudhuri for the past 10+ years. He is a well established accompanist and soloist in the Bay Area. He has had the fortune of performing at many prestigious venues and festivals such as Davies Symphony Hall (San Francisco), BRM Ragas Live Festival, Festival of Tabla, and is a regular performer at the Ali Akbar College of Music in San Rafael, CA and across the Bay Area. He has also collaborated closely with the Chitresh Das Institute, playing multiple shows with their dance company across America
